Marley & SamE visit from Washington!

After being back and forth to Edisto for a week, it was nice to be home. Rick's friend, Geoff, and our friends, Marley and SamE, were in town. Geoff was driving through on his way back to Florida & had the chance to stay a couple of nights. Marley and SamE were here for a week, but due to unfortunate circumstances, we were only able to hang out for part of the trip. With that in mind, we decided to make the BEST of every second. We enjoyed our time together & I didn't realize how perfect the timing was. Spending time with friends is definitely the BEST therapy! Thanks guys!!!

Ashlyn and SamE have had play dates ever since Ash was born. Marley and Chris used to live in our neighborhood, but the Air Force "helped" them move to WA. We have been lucky enough to get together once or twice a year!

Every good day at the beach ends with a nice cold Cherry Coke!!!

Egg Hunt & Easter Party at HIS School

On the last day of school, before Spring Break, our class had an egg hunt and Easter party. It was so cute! Rick came to help Hannah & I with setting up and hiding eggs. Mindy and Julie, two of my students' moms, brought food and assisted with the hunt.

The class! I am so proud of my little buddies! They have really come a long way since August. I just hope I can get through the end of the year...I am really going to be sad when they have to go to Ms. Jennifer and Ms. Cara's class. Love you guys!!!

There is nothing wrong with being prepared, right? Rick and I decided to take Ashlyn out & practice hunting eggs in the yard. She had never really done this before & there was going to be an egg hunt at school. Ash usually just wanted to take the eggs apart & eat whatever candy she could find. It took a bit of explaining, but finally she would look around & collect the eggs.

Mama is COOL!

My parents went to Seattle for a week to visit with my sister and her family. I offered to stay with Mama while they were away. Rick and Ashlyn joined me for a couple of days. We really enjoyed our time with Mama. One afternoon I left Ash in the living room with Mama for a couple of minutes. When I came back downstairs, they were sitting on the couch together, and they were both giggling. Ash explained, "I dress her!"

Ummmm......I really don't think I need to explain this one! We had a really rough week getting through the allergic reaction. This was day two & it got worse before it cleared up!
